E.L.R. Mega Mix 2 1998
This nine day event was by far the most well attended preserved diesel event ever. This years event was sponsored by TRACTION magazine, the N.R.M. and E.W.S., with 26 locomotives from each of the classes 20 to 55. Each of the nine days had a theme:

* Types 1, 2 and 3 Day - Featuring 5054, 5580, 7017/76, 7612, D8000, 26004, 27001, 33117
* Western Region Day - Featuring D4, D172, D821, D832, 1023, 1041, 7017, 7076, 45060, 45133, 50033, 50015
* TRACTION Day - Tribute to the Hydraulics Featuring D821, D832, 1041, 1023, 7017, 7076
* E.L.R. Mega Mix 2 Day - Featuring all motive power with 22 departures from Bury
* Visitors Day - Featuring all visiting locomotives
With the added attraction of the running of a shuttle train from Bury to Ramsbottom made up of 4 B.R. Mk1 Blue and Grey Carriages, the attraction of a shunter hauled shuttle, and Foot-plate experience rides in Bury Bolton Street this really was the event of the year (and probably the decade).From five and a half hours of video footage A.V.V. presents a three hour video encompassing all that was best in the Mega Mix 2.
