Our Range of video programmes are designed to account for the variable tastes that are found in the various organisations and departments which constitute the East Lancashire Railway. The obvious Steam and Diesel divide is accoutned for by producing a 'Steam on the ELR' series which normally covers the main steam events through the winter season from June through to February the following year. Diesels are more than adequately covered by two tapes. Firstly the Premier Diesel event in the North West, our Mega Mix Diesel event held over several days in July, which normally constitutes a three hour programme in its own right. Secondly the Diesel Daze programme which cover the three, one day events normally staged between January and April (English Electric, Hydraulic and Sulzer).

A Review of the year is a chance to show the best of steam and diesel in action on the line, and also to show the behind the scenes work that has been financially supported by various sources, and which have lead to the re-generation of one of the finest sections of 60's period railway lines in the country. These other projects are often not visible to visitors to the railway, and their development is of paramount interest to all who have any association with the ELR and preservation. Locomotives, Rolling stock, signalling, permanent way and buildings are all featured.
