Another fantastic year of events on the north-west’s premier preserved railway. This 3 hour programme brings you the best of Steam, Diesel, and general developments here in the Irwell Val1ey (and some a little beyond).

All the major steam events in January February and April are presented in the magic of the seasons in the greenery of the Irwell Valley. All the one-day Diesel themed days are also seen along with the prestigious Mega Mix event. in July and the 3 day event in September. Interspersed with news letters from the re-building of major steam projects such as 6201 through to the long term DMU projects our programme brings you the detail of some fine preservation work.

A.V.V. cameras also visited the mainline, the ‘Great Gathering’ At Crewe to see the MetroVicks swept off its feet, and the Riot of Steam in Manchester’s Science Museum to reveal the origins of the whole railway saga.

This is a programme not to be missed and is guaranteed to show you ‘Modern Preservation in Action’. One certainly not to be missed by enthusiasts, and an excellent introduction to those just wanting to know more about the East Lancashire Railway.
