All the Major steam events in January, April, June and October are presented in the magic of the Irwell Valley. All the one day Diesel ‘themed days’ are seen along with the prestigious Mega Mix event in July and the September autumn event.

Interspersed with ‘newsletts’ from the rebuilding of major steam projects such as 2999 ‘The Saint Project’, through to long term diesel projects of the class 20 and class 14 our programme brings you the detail of some fine preservation work.

The introduction of colour light signalling on the Heywood Link is followed through to its instatement. The complete rebuilding of the Rawtenstall Station Tower, is captured along with footings for the Ramsbottom L&Y canopy. A review of the fantastic War Weekend and its many facets is shown along with the myriad of re-enactments that make this event spectacular.

AVV cameras also visited the main line to see 48151, 34067 (on tour), 76079 and 45407 in the snow. The West Somerset Railway ‘Spring Gala’ was attended to see the 4 visiting E.L.R. based locos on a rather blustery holiday.
